STATE CHECKLIST

Before your appointment.

Wyoming’s learner permit requires an in-person photograph, written exam, and vision screening; a parent or guardian signs for minors.

A regular learner permit is valid one year and must be held at least 10 days before full driving privileges may be requested.

Wyoming’s intermediate permit path requires proof of 50 hours of behind-the-wheel driving time.

Permit eligibility, documents, fees, and appointment details can change. Confirm those details with Wyoming Department of Transportation Driver Services before you go.
