Before your appointment.

Texas teen learner licenses require driver-education classroom completion and a knowledge exam unless already completed in the course.

A learner license requires a licensed adult age 21 or older in the front passenger seat.

Texas prohibits all cell-phone use for a learner-license holder, including hands-free use except for an emergency.
